Network Setting

1. IP address setting
i:DHCP mode

Click the automatic button to switch the DHCP automatic mode. It is recommended to use the automatic mode (DHCP) for the subnet with a router. When the device is started, the router dynamically assigns IP addresses to the device. If there is no router on the LAN, the device will randomly assign the address of the same network segment according to the IP address of the device in the LAN. If it cannot be detected, the default IP address is 169.254.8.8.

ii:Manual mode

In manual mode, enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway, and click the Manual button to switch to the manual mode. Be different from other IP addresses on the network. After the IP address is successfully changed, the device restarts and the WebUI switches to the new IP address.

2. NDI multicast Setting

When the multicast mode is on, that is, UDP (multicast) transmission mode, it has a default multicast address and subnet mask. You can also manually configure the address. Click “Enable” to take effect. When multicast is turned off, unicast mode is adopted, including single TCP unicast, multi TCP unicast, UDP unicast and Reliable UDP unicast. The default Reliable UDP unicast transmission mode.

Encoding

The coding page contains:

In NDI® encoding mode, users can flexibly set a variety of NDI® parameters, such as NDI® stream name, frame rate, encoding volume, input source priority, Tally display switch and External audio embedded setting etc.

1. NDI stream name

In encoding mode, you can change the NDI® stream name under the encoding TAB without having to reboot the device to distinguish between different NDI® encoders. The default stream name is: NDI-X.

2. Aspect ratio

You can define and change the NDI® stream aspect ration that supports five settings: source aspect ratio, 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, square.

3. Frame rate

Support 4 kinds of frame rate settings:
source frame rate, 1/2 frame rate, 1/3 frame rate, 1/4 frame rate.

4. Bit rate

When the bandwidth of the network is not ideal, the bit rate bandwidth of NDI® can be adjusted to a minimum of 20M.

5. Input source preference choose

Primary input confirmation of HDMI and SDI input sources.
The priority can be switched freely during NDI® encoding (when both SDI and HDMI are connected to the video source).

6. Tally LED switch

Program means bright red for Program broadcast, Preview means bright green for Preview. You can select the switch as required, and it is turned on by default.

7. External audio embedded setting

Q. Why not log in to the Web UI?

A. Check whether the IP address of the device and the IP address of the computer are in the same network segment, and whether the IP address of the device conflicts with the IP address of other devices in the network segment; Check whether the network environment is good; Attempt to power down and restart the device.

Q. Why does the device IP address display 169.254.x.x?

A. This is because the device is in the automatic IP acquisition mode in the network settings of the webui, but there is no router in the LAN connected to the device to assign an IP address to the device. At this time, change the computer IP to 169.254.x.x, then log in to the Web UI, change the device to manually obtain the IP, fill in the address, subnet mask and gateway, and click [Manual].

Q. Why is the image output from the device to the display device abnormal in color, sound or picture?

A. Try to restart the device in the Web UI system, or manually power off and restart.

Q. Why is the device output to the white screen of the display device

A. This is because the decoding device does not select which NDI source to solve. Try to log in to the Web UI, check whether the correct coding source is selected under the decoding column, click refresh list and select again.

Q. NDI® decoding is stuck and not smooth

If the NDI® decoded picture is not smooth and jammed, please change the network transmission mode to test the smoothness of NDI® under the condition of ensuring a good network environment.
